  "abstract": "Happy 10th Anniversary TSACO! You’ve come a long way in the past decade. In my inaugural Editor-in-Chief editorial in May 2016, “The world is getting smaller…,” I referred to myself as the midwife for the delivery of the new bouncing baby. However, there was a lot of anxiety surrounding the birth. Open access was a novel approach for the dissemination of medical research and education. Compared with traditional publishing, it offered two huge advantages for the transmission of knowledge: worldwide distribution and access to the publications for anyone, anywhere with access to the internet. Sounds great, but there was an important hazard noted at the birthing: authors were responsible for costs of publication (APCs)!! In many ways, taking care of a newborn is easier than dealing with childhood. Just ask Elliott.",
