  "abstract": "We read with great interest the article by Rozier and colleagues evaluating anterior quadratus lumborum block (QLB) as an adjunct to multimodal analgesia for total hip arthroplasty.1 We wish to acknowledge the authors’ initiative in exploring strategies aimed at optimizing postoperative pain management and reducing opioid consumption, a clinical objective we share in the context of postoperative recovery. However, methodological aspects deserve further consideration before concluding that anterior quadratus lumborum block should be routinely discouraged in this setting.",
