  "abstract": "We extend our sincere gratitude to Dost et al for their keen interest in our recent cadaveric study, which investigates the optimal techniques for ultrasound-guided parasternal intercostal plane (PIP) blocks.1 2 Our findings indicate that using a total volume of 20 mL of dye, with triple injections in the case of the superficial approach, and double injections in the deep approach, reliably covers the 2nd–6th intercostal spaces. These results suggest the potential to effectively target the anterior cutaneous branches of the T2–T6 intercostal nerves, which innervate the anteromedial chest wall, including the sternum.2",
