  "abstract": "We read with great interest the article by Erdem et al.1 on the efficacy of the erector spinae plane (ESP) block in lumbar disc herniation surgery for reducing postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV). We acknowledge the rigorous methodological approach; however, we would like to highlight several points that may help improve the design of future clinical trials.",
