  "abstract": "Introduction Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are increasingly recognized as essential components of a high-performing healthcare workforce. Diverse clinical teams have been linked to better innovation, decision-making, and improved patient outcomes. Despite growing attention to workforce diversity across medicine, limited data exist regarding demographic representation and perceptions of inclusivity within the neurointerventional community. Neurointervention represents a uniquely multidisciplinary field comprising physicians trained in neurology, neurosurgery, and radiology. However, little is known about how members of this workforce perceive equity in mentorship, leadership opportunities, and professional advancement. Professional organizations, including the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery and the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology, play a central role in shaping the professional environment of the field through mentorship initiatives, leadership development, and conference participation. To our knowledge, this is the first study designed to systematically evaluate perceptions of diversity, equity, and inclusion across multiple neurointerventional professional societies.Methods We will conduct an anonymous cross-sectional electronic survey of members affiliated with major neurointerventional societies, including the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery and the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology. The survey instrument will consist of approximately 20-25 items adapted from previously published workforce diversity studies in procedural medical specialties. Survey domains will include demographics, professional background, mentorship and sponsorship, leadership participation, experiences with bias, and perceptions of inclusivity within the neurointerventional community. Demographic variables will include age group, gender identity[KF1] [WL2], sexual orientation, race or ethnicity, geographic region, primary specialty training (neurology, neurosurgery, radiology, or other), career stage, and practice setup [WL3] [WL4] Additional questions will assess access to mentorship, participation in professional society leadership roles, and perceived equity in opportunities for professional advancement. Experiences of bias will be assessed across several professional settings, including training, hiring, promotion, workplace interactions, and professional society activities. Perceptions of inclusivity and equity will be measured using five-point Likert scale items. The survey will be distributed electronically through professional society communication channels. Participation[KF5] [WL6] will be voluntary, and responses will be collected anonymously. Participants will have the option to be considered for mentorship opportunities within the neurointerventional community. Additionally, respondents may opt to be acknowledged in resulting publications. Descriptive statistics will summarize respondent characteristics and survey responses. Group comparisons will evaluate differences in perceptions of inclusivity and reported experiences of bias across demographic and professional subgroups. Ordinal logistic regression models will be used to explore associations between respondent characteristics and perceptions of inclusivity.Results The study will characterize the demographic composition of the neurointerventional workforce and evaluate disparities in inclusivity, access to mentorship, and leadership representation across subgroups.Conclusion This multisociety survey will provide a comprehensive assessment of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the neurointerventional workforce. By identifying perceived barriers to mentorship, leadership participation, and equitable professional advancement, the findings may inform targeted initiatives by professional societies aimed at fostering a more inclusive and representative neurointerventional community.Disclosures W.
