  "abstract": "Over the past 5 years, JNIS has been the leading source of new studies reporting on cerebral venous physiology, pathology, and interventional therapies. In fact, the first prospective multicenter trial for a novel transverse sinus (TS) stent was published in JNIS this past year.1 Built on a foundation arising from the increase in venographic studies being performed for idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), a number of studies have been published addressing knowledge gaps in IIH and its associated cerebral venous outflow disorders (CVD). However, these conditions continue to be mysterious and perplexing; it seems the more we learn, the more questions arise.",
