  "abstract": "A woman in her 70s who was experiencing thoracic back pain due to a T12 compression fracture was treated with successful T11–L1 kyphoplasty and T12 SpineJack-assisted augmentation. One week later the patient had significant anterior displacement of the SpineJack device and bone cement ventrally abutting the aorta. To remove the extruded bone cement and SpineJack device, she underwent lateral T12 retropleural corpectomy with posterior T11–L1 instrumented fusion with cement-augmented pedicle screws. The patient experienced significant improvement of her back pain with imaging demonstrating hardware stability at 6 months. This case describes a previously unreported complication of postoperative anterior cement and device displacement following SpineJack-assisted kyphoplasty.",
