  "abstract": "In 2023, the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery published an editorial outlining how neurointerventional specialists could proactively engage in reimbursement processes for key procedural codes, including CPT 61624 and 61626.1 That article described how codes identified as ‘potentially misvalued’ move through a structured pathway: specialty societies work through the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) structure and the American Medical Association/Specialty Society RUC to define physician work, survey clinicians, and submit evidence-based recommendations to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).2–4",
