  "abstract": "We have examined with interest the systematic review and meta-analysis by Oliveira et al,1 which addresses the incidence and clinical implications of acute kidney injury (AKI) following endovascular therapy (EVT) in stroke patients. The study’s findings, indicating a 7% pooled incidence of AKI and its association with increased odds of 90-day death or dependency, are significant for both clinical practice and future research directions.",
