  "abstract": "Introduction As we know, the treatment for cAVM include stereotactic radiotherapy, microsurgery, and endovascular intervention therapy.Each treatment method has its own specific and different treatment strategies.For example, There are several options for intravascular intervention therapy.Different treatment methods care about different architecture elements.The insufficient understanding of AVM structure has limited the progress of its treatment.Aim of Study To explore the efficacy of endovascular interventional therapy based on the structural typing-unit of the cerebral arteriovenous malformation (AVMs).Method The clinical data of 458 cerebral AVMs patients admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery of Guangdong People’s Hospital (Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences) from December 2017 to 2017 to December 2020 were retrospectively collected, the imaging structural characteristics were analyzed and typed.The new type of cerebral AVMs distribution was type I (n=32), type II (n=37), type III (n=45), type IV (n=109), and type V (n=235).Then we would summarized the endovascular treatment methods and effects of different structural types.Results The overall cure rate for the 458 patients was 44.3%, with type I (84.4%,27/32), type II(94.6%,35/37), type III(95.6%,43/45), type IV(31.2%,34/109) and type V(27.2%,64/235). There were 28 postoperative complications of functional injury, including technical(n=7,25.0%), hemorrhagic(n=4,14.3%), and ischemic(n=17,60.7%) complications. The overall complication rate was 6.1%.Conclusion Cerebral AVMs can be divided into five types based on the structural typing-unit.Meanwhile, it would have a better efficacy and safety during the endovascular treatment of AVMs ,if we could had a individualized treatment regimen based on the structural typing-unit.Conflict of Interest No",
