  "abstract": "Inhaled methoxyflurane has been used in the civilian prehospital setting to treat pain for several decades.1 Despite having attributes that are well suited to the deployed environment,2 its introduction to military settings appears to be more recent and, to our knowledge, there is only one published study in this setting.3 We aimed to explore the experience of clinicians administering methoxyflurane via the Penthrox inhalator device (Galen, UK), following its introduction to the UK Defence Medical Services (DMS) in 2021.",
