  "abstract": "We read with great interest the recent article by Breeze et al.1 The authors studied 55 patients operated on for penetrating traumatic brain injury (TBI) associated with military casualties, aiming to identify physiological and radiological risk factors related to survival and neurological outcomes. Patients with increased glucose levels and hypotension at admission were found to have an increased mortality rate, and glucose was also found to be correlated with a poor neurological outcome.",
