  "abstract": "Introduction Multiple sclerosis commonly affects women of childbearing age. The UK MS Pregnancy Register was established in 2021 to inform clinical practice.Methods Structured questionnaires were completed by participants at specific timepoints during pregnancy and 3- and 12-months post-partum. Data up to November 2024 is presented.Results A total of 301 pregnancies were included with mean age at recruitment 34.4. Ninety percent (271) of participants had taken DMT at some point; 50% participants continued DMT into pregnancy and 31% planned to continue throughout pregnancy. Fourteen participants (5%) reported a relapse; 31% of those during pregnancy and 69% post-partum or following miscarriage. Eighty-six percent were on DMT at the time of relapse, most commonly glatiramer acetate. Average gestational age at birth was 39.3 weeks and 55% of participants were exclusively breastfeeding at 3 months, with 32% reporting that MS had affected their decision to breastfeed, with DMT use cited by a third. A medical issue at 3 months post-partum occurred in 16% infants, most frequently cow’s milk protein allergy. All infants with available data were meeting all expected milestones at 12 months.Discussion Pregnancy outcomes and developmental trajectories of infants born to people with MS appear similar to the general population, providing important reassurance.
