  "abstract": "Background Clubfoot, or Congenital Talipes Equinovarus, is characterised by a high medial longitudinal arch (cavus) and an inward-turned foot (equinovarus). Effective management of idiopathic clubfoot requires consistent use of corrective braces and strong parental adherence. This study aimed to assess parental adherence to appropriate therapeutic strategies involving corrective braces in children with clubfoot.Methodology A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted among 96 parents of children attending the clubfoot clinic at AIIMS Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. Total enumerative sampling was used. Data were collected using a pre-validated, self-structured tool, which included a sociodemographic profile and a checklist to assess adherence to brace application strategies. Data analysis was performed using SPSS V.23.0.Results The mean age of parents was 30.51±4.85 years. Most children were boys (74%), with a mean age of 2.75±1.49 years. A majority of parents had completed graduation or higher education. Mothers were predominantly homemakers and fathers worked in business. Nearly 46% of parents came from economically poor backgrounds. About 65% of parents followed correct brace application strategies, with a mean adherence score of 12.40±1.46. A moderately weak but significant correlation was found between parental knowledge and adherence to correct strategies (p=0.001).Conclusion The study highlights that most parents adhered to proper brace use strategies. However, barriers such as limited access during the COVID-19 pandemic and gender bias favouring male children contributed to increased relapse rates.",
