  "abstract": "Introduction In 2024 BSG published minimum service standards and good practice statements for safe and effective ERCP services. National Programmes (NP) initiated an ongoing improvement programme with all 6 University health boards (UHBs) who provide ERCP and EUS services across Wales to drive improvement and standardise networked delivery.Methods An initial meeting of the All Wales ERCP/EUS Network was held in Dec 2024 with agreement to measure against BSG ERCP Service Standards. A digital tracker (Excel) tool for the 70 standards (with linked domains) was devised to aid each UHB to complete baseline service assessment – UHBs recorded if standards were met In Full, Partially, or Not at all (April 2025). Baseline results were discussed (National and individual UHB meetings) and initial action plans for improvement agreed. A repeat self-return was completed in December 2025 allowing comparison against baseline for overall service, individual UHB and domain-specific outcomes. Review at a follow-up Network meeting agreed an ongoing Action Plan.Results Baseline domain differences were noted in standards being met : Equipment & facilities (77%), Policies & referral (68%), Pathway (67%), Deep Sedation (29%), Network arrangement (33%), Nurse Education (46%), Clinical governance (47%) or Management support (52%). Variations between UHBs emerged – providing potential for shared solutions. Round 2 returns showed modest improvement: 20 more standards fully met & 16 previous Not Met at least Partially Met. Domains where performance was reasonable at baseline has been maintained. Improvement in nurse pre-assessment and education (from 46 to 59% fully met) and Deep Sedation (29 to 43% fully met) was noted but self-rating scores for Network Arrangements, Clinical Governance & Management domains have not. An agreed Network Action Plan ( table 1) targets ongoing Not Met and Partially Met domains allocating specific actions to network groups and highlighting impact of delivery.Conclusions NP level support can effectively drive improvement in BSG ERCP services, combining active planning in UHBs, NP and Academy teams.
