"abstract": "I found the article by O’Morain et al to be highly engaging.1 The study sheds light on a crucial aspect of clinical practice by emphasising differences in adherence to guidelines set by the British Society of Gastroenterology and the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, especially concerning patient selection, stone management strategies and procedural techniques. The results make a valuable contribution to the ongoing dialogue about quality assurance and standardisation in advanced endoscopy. Nonetheless, I wish to respectfully point out several methodological considerations that could further contextualise the findings and enhance future research in this field.",
