While procedural complications are well documented, their psychological, emotional and organisational repercussions are underexplored. This review highlights the implications of endoscopic complications on patients, families, clinicians and healthcare systems. It also aims to discuss the medicolegal aspects around the issue and propose strategies to handle the non-clinical aspects of endoscopic complication.",
