"abstract": "A woman in her late 20s presented with abdominal pain for 24 hours, vomiting and tenderness in the right abdomen 8 days after an uneventful emergency laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which was performed for an ultrasonographic suspicion of acute gallstone cholecystitis and recurrent right abdominal pain. The initial postoperative course was uneventful, with discharge on postoperative day 2. At re-admission, C reactive protein was 29 mg/L, leucocyte counts 0.0141 ×10 9/L, total bilirubin 7 µmol/L and the transaminases were within normal range. Abdominal CT revealed a cystic tubular structure with marginal enhancement in the right haemiabdomen in proximity to the duodenum, as well as to the small bowel, which contained fluid and several hyperdense debris (figure 1). No abscess in the gall bladder bed or any other potential focus of infection was found and the appendix was not clearly visible on the CT scan.",
