  "abstract": "Objective The global burden of pancreatic cancer (PC) has been on the rise. We aim to comprehensively analyse the temporal trends of incidence, mortality and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), including early onset of PC both regionally and globally from 2010 to 2021.Design/Methods Global and regional temporal trends of PC incidence, death and DALYs were analysed using the Global Burden of Disease Study 2021 methodological framework.Results From 2010 to 2021, the estimated annual per cent change (APC) of the age-standardised incidence rates (ASIRs), age-standardised death rates (ASDRs) and age-standardised DALYs (ASDALYs) due to PC remained stable globally. In the given period, ASIRs and ASDRs increased in females (APC: 0.18%; APC: 0.14%, respectively) and remained stable in males. On the contrary, the estimated APC of ASIRs, ASDRs and ASDALYs due to PC decreased in young adults. By region, ASIR increased in most regions, with the highest increase observed in Southeast Asia (APC: 1.62%). Regarding the sociodemographic index (SDI), ASIRs and ASDRs increased in all SDIs with the highest increase in low SDI countries (APC: 1.52%; APC: 1.53%, respectively).Conclusion The burden of PC has been increasing in recent decades, resulting in a higher number of cases and deaths. Our analysis demonstrates a substantial geographical variance in the burden of PC, particularly in the low SDI nations. Hence, localised interventional strategies must be undertaken to manage this global predicament effectively.",
