  "abstract": "A girl aged 5 months was brought to the emergency department with irritable crying and tonic posturing with upward gaze. The mother reported a 30 cm fall from a bed earlier that morning, with symptoms appearing 1 hour later. There was no preceding fever or vomiting. On arrival, she was afebrile and haemodynamically stable. Physical examination revealed ecchymoses over the forehead, right arm and calf with a tense anterior fontanelle. Bedside cranial ultrasonography was performed ( figure 1).",
