  "abstract": "A 72-year-old female presented to the emergency department with sudden-onset severe back pain after straining while defecating. It was associated with new urinary incontinence and bilateral lower limb numbness and pain. Examination revealed loss of power and reduced sensation of the lower limbs. She had a medical history of hypertension, osteoarthritis and previous stroke for which she took clopidogrel daily.",
