  "abstract": "This article focuses on communicative steps and strategies to help healthcare professionals support a child or young person with quitting vaping. With emerging evidence that vaping is a gateway to tobacco smoking, coupled with increasingly evident harmful health effects from vaping, as healthcare professionals we need to intervene. We summarise how to structure the conversation and provide practical tips on quitting as well as off label nicotine replacement therapy prescribing if required.",
