  "abstract": "Anaemia is a global public health problem estimated to affect millions of children, with the highest prevalence among those aged 6–59 months 1. Iron deficiency (ID) is the leading cause, accounting for approximately 50% of all anaemia cases,2 and is the most common micronutrient deficiency worldwide, with children at particular risk.3 4 It is estimated that approximately 1–3 children in 100 in the UK may have iron-deficiency anaemia (IDA); however, diagnostic criteria are varied, making it difficult to know precise numbers.5",
