  "abstract": "The terms ‘disinformation’ and ‘misinformation’ seem inescapable right now, as are their effects on the medical landscape. Even when it appears that the evidence is clear regarding a drug or therapy, new and ill-informed thinking can pop up out of nowhere and turn ‘viral’, as evidenced by the recent commotion surrounding paracetamol use in pregnancy. Despite increasing amounts of research into the drivers of the propagation of such false information, and active steps from the UK’s National Health Service and UK governmental bodies to counteract this, it still feels like we need to do more. As healthcare professionals, we know that we have a duty to help dispel such harmful information. But what can we really do to make a meaningful impact?",
