  "abstract": "The Cancer Moonshot Programme, an ambitious initiative that was reignited in 2022 in the USA, aims to accelerate cancer research and reduce cancer mortality by 50% within 25 years while also transforming how care is delivered across the continuum.1 While substantial attention has been paid to innovations in early detection, immunotherapy and precision medicine, the programme’s administrative and operational frameworks are equally critical to its success. Supportive and palliative care, long underutilised despite overwhelming evidence of its impact, must be centred within this framework.2 3 We explore the administrative perspectives of the Cancer Moonshot and highlight key components that foster the integration of supportive oncology into mainstream cancer care.",
