"abstract": "In 1948, the WHO defined health not merely as the absence of disease or infirmity, but as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being.1 This definition underscores the importance of considering multiple dimensions when evaluating individuals’ well-being.2 In the oncology setting, the assessment of health-related quality of life (HRQoL) plays a fundamental role in clinical care. HRQoL is a multidimensional construct that encompasses physical, emotional, social and functional domains all of which may be significantly affected by both the disease and its treatments.2 3",
