  "abstract": "Family caregivers of patients with serious illnesses experience substantial psychosocial burden. This preliminary mixed-methods study examined the feasibility of a four-session compassion-based support program. Caregivers were recruited at a university hospital(July 2023-October 2025). The program addressed the caregiving experience, self-care, patient care, and meaning-making. Outcomes were assessed using the Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy-Spiritual Well-Being Scale (FACIT-Sp), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Preparedness for Caregiving Scale (PCS), and Rewards of Caregiving Scale (RCS), along with satisfaction and qualitative feedback. Of the 10 enrolled caregivers, 5 completed the program. FACIT-Sp scores significantly increased post-intervention (p=.044) and at follow-up (p=.010), while PHQ-9 scores significantly decreased (p=.015). PCS scores improved at follow-up (p<.001), and RCS scores increased post-intervention (p=.024). Participants reported high satisfaction and perceived usefulness. The intervention was feasible and acceptable for Korean family caregivers, supporting the need for larger randomized controlled trials.",
