  "abstract": "Despite substantial progress in cancer therapeutics, patients with advanced solid tumors continue to experience significant symptom burden, psychological distress, prognostic uncertainty, and complex treatment decisions, often with negative impacts on quality of life. Over the past two decades, a robust body of research has demonstrated that integrating palliative care near the time of diagnosis of advanced solid tumors improves patient and caregiver outcomes, leading numerous professional societies to recommend this model of care. Unfortunately, due to clinician workforce limitations, cost constraints, and persistent public and professional misperceptions, most patients with advanced cancer and their families do not receive palliative care in accordance with these guidelines. In this presentation, I will review recent studies highlighting innovations in palliative care delivery designed to overcome barriers to access. Specifically, I will discuss the roles of telehealth, stepped-care models, automated referral triggers, digital health interventions, and remote patient monitoring systems in optimizing the scalable, patient-centered delivery of palliative care for individuals diagnosed with advanced solid tumors and their families.",
