"abstract": "This report focuses on the case of a woman in her 80s struggling with pruritus of a likely multifactorial cause within an inpatient unit at a hospice. Subcutaneous chlorphenamine 10mg twice daily, was used when the oral route was unavailable. Pruritus and associated rash resolved within 6 days of treatment being commenced. There was no further rash or pruritus after this. There is little literature about the use of subcutaneous chlorphenamine and this case report highlights its use can be effective for treatment of pruritus in palliative care and broaden therapeutic options. Further research is needed to support its use when administered subcutaneously.",
