  "abstract": "Background Enhanced Supportive Care (ESC) is a model for providing early coordinated multiprofessional care for patients following diagnosis of treatable but not curable cancer. Due to the heterogeneity of ESC services in the UK, there is a need to develop a standardised approach to this model to enable commissioning. However, little is known about the optimal model of delivery.Aim Describe what existing service and workforce models support the delivery of (enhanced) supportive care.Method A scoping review was conducted. Publications since 2000 were searched by title and abstract according to search terms which included ‘supportive care’ and model*, workforce, staff*, Integrat* or Design. MEDLINE, SCOPUS, PsychINFO, EMBASE, EMCARE, CINAHL databases were searched for primary and secondary quantitative and qualitative research with adult patients diagnosed with cancer, published in English. Records were screened for inclusion by two researchers independently at title, abstract and full-text level with conflicting judgements resolved by a third researcher. Reasons for exclusion were agreed and documented according to the Preferred Reporting Items for scoping reviews guidance.Results Searches retrieved 3,175 articles. After removing duplicate records and title/abstract screening, 335 manuscripts underwent full text screening. 94 papers describing models of care for 20,812 patients were included. Study durations ranged from 10 days to 5 years. Heterogeneity in the study design, including population and outcome measures was noticeable. The majority of models were outpatient (n=88) of which 43 were face-to-face, 24 telemedicine (care delivered remotely) and 16 digital (care delivered electronically). Positive reported outcomes included prolonged survival (n=4), improved quality of life (n=27), improved treatment adherence (n=3) and reduced secondary care use (n=8).Conclusion There is wide heterogeneity of study design, reported outcome measures and ESC service models. These data will feed into future research to identify recommended service models for optimal ESC delivery.",
