  "abstract": "Background and Aims Advanced practice within hospice settings is increasingly vital in shaping responsive, high-quality palliative care. Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP) and Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) are becoming extremely popular in hospice and palliative care settings.This poster explores the evolving role of the ANP beyond traditional bedside reviews, highlighting their unique position in fostering cross-sector collaboration and service innovation. At our hospice, ANPs have become key agents in bridging care across community services and acute hospital trusts, ensuring continuity and person-centred care. A central initiative led by the ANP team – implementation of a daily multidisciplinary huddle – has contributed directly to improved bed occupancy rates and enhanced multi-centred Specialist Palliative Care Team communication. This structured forum has strengthened clinical decision-making, enabled real-time problem-solving, and supported timely admissions and discharges as evidenced within an inpatient audit. Furthermore, the visibility and clinical leadership of ANPs have cultivated more effective partnerships, aligning hospice practice with system-wide priorities. This poster argues that investment in advanced practice is essential to meeting the complex needs of patients and the demands of an integrated palliative care landscape.Methods A quantitative audit focusing on inpatient data pre and post ANP huddle focusing on bed occupancy, timing of referral to admission and how rapidly we now accept patients through fostering more positive communication promoting a collaborative relationship.Results Inpatient audit went from five to seven days between referral to admission and is now one to two days, quite often same day admissions. Patients were discussed at length prior to admission therefore reduced need for declining admissions due to inappropriateness. All parties were well informed of the patient prior to their arrival.Conclusion Within the poster will be detailed qualitative information about the benefits of ANPs leading the way forward on a more positive, engaging and dynamic workforce.",
