  "abstract": "Aim To describe the development and implementation of a new ACP education initiative in Australia.Background All health and aged care professionals and workers (the workforce) require shared understanding of the importance and value of advance care planning (ACP) and their roles in supporting that process. Advance Care Planning Australia (ACPA), a government funded initiative, plays a pivotal role in building the capacity of the workforce to effectively support people to engage in ACP activities. A key challenge has been meeting the needs of a large, dispersed workforce that is time poor, fatigued and juggling many competing demands. Recent shifts in the conceptualisation of ACP and changing workforce needs required a refresh of national education offerings.Main Text ACPA partnered with Yarno to deliver innovative education incorporating learning science, gamification and microlearning principles. A quiz-based approach is used to deliver a curriculum which includes principles of ACP, communication, inclusive approaches to ACP, recording choices and supporting decision-making. Six campaigns include 12 quiz questions each with detailed explanations, making learning achievable in short timeframes. Content is aligned to key national standards and the evolving ACP landscape and priorities in Australia. Diverse stakeholders contributed to the development process, including members of the ACPA national advisory committee, ACP communities of practice, academia, and professionals from policy, health law, and human rights. Workforce and community member narratives collected through the ACPA National Advisory Service further informed campaign development, ensuring the content reflected real-world experiences and met workforce needs.Since the launch of the campaigns, learner feedback has reflected positive engagement with 96% completion rates and average pre-post self-confidence ratings showing 25–30% improvement. Learners appreciate the engaging and fun learning approach, commenting on the real-life scenarios and opportunities for reflection.Unique Contribution ACPA delivered a practical, contemporary learning solution aligned to ACP principles reflecting a person-led, rights-based perspective. The campaigns are quick, easy to use, and support incremental knowledge development of the busy workforce. Flexible delivery is achieved through on-demand and multimodal learning options. Quizzes provide opportunities for team discussions, enabling a non-confrontational approach for reflection and growth. Realistic scenarios can be used in simulated learning activities and quiz explanations provide concise contemporary information to support educators.Implications Building capacity in the workforce to support ACP will assist in empowering more Australians to express their wishes and preferences for future healthcare. Further implementation and evaluation of ACP education is required to demonstrate sustained impact.",
