  "abstract": "Background At GOSH, the average patient has nine diagnoses and is supported by multiple clinical teams. Families often describe the hospital as their ‘family,’ yet there was no visual representation celebrating this complex, holistic, and person-centred care. Our aim was to create an inclusive installation that honours both the families who bring children to GOSH and the clinical families who care for them.Methods We held workshops with staff to explore creative options within modest budgets (£1–5k), researched similar initiatives, and prioritised accessibility for patients with learning needs. Over two years, we collaborated with 13 families to ensure diversity and comfort with participation. Drawing inspiration from children’s literature and previous staff network designs, we developed visuals that were tested with 15 families across outpatient areas. Personal elements were woven into the final graphics, reflecting each child’s interests and identity.Results The first wall, installed in December 2023, features 222 staff captured across four photo shoots and includes six patients (two sibling pairs) aged newborn to 18. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. A second wall was installed in the Clinical Research Facility, and a third is underway, incorporating imaging, data, EPR, and genomics teams. The updated installation will include 254 staff and 43 teams. ( Figures 1 and 2)Conclusion This project celebrates the deep connections between families and staff at GOSH.
