  "abstract": "Oculogenetics is a rapidly evolving field that bridges ophthalmology and clinical genetics to diagnose and manage inherited eye disorders. Currently, testing for both structural and retinal inherited disease happens through whole genome sequencing (testing directory).This poster describes a newly developed pathway that showcases how a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach is essential to providing comprehensive care for patients with genetic ocular conditions, ensuring accurate diagnosis, appropriate genetic testing, and tailored management strategies.We also explore the structure, function, and benefits of such MDT, highlighting the collaborative roles of genetic counsellors, ophthalmologists, clinical geneticists, and laboratory specialists. By integrating expertise from multiple disciplines, the MDT facilitates timely diagnosis, improves patient education, and informs treatment options, including emerging gene therapies.Furthermore, we discuss challenges such as access to genetic testing, interpretation of variants, and ethical considerations which highlights the importance of different professionals within the MDT. In particular, as WGS continues to expand, the rarity of some findings will require more in depth work and discuss to ensure patient centred care and the translation of genomic discoveries into clinical practice.",
