  "abstract": "Objectives To develop an easy-to-interpret approach for communicating demographic integration performance across NHS Trusts, using comparative data from 23 live Concentric (digital consent) deployments. The aim was to help organisations understand their relative performance, identify latency and error patterns, and explore differences between interface types (HL7v2, FHIR, and SQL) to inform future deployments and optimisation of existing interfaces.Methods We analysed weekly batches of connector-service data from demographic integrations across NHS deployments. For each interface, we measured end-to-end request latency and error rates. Latencies were reported using p50, p95, and p99 percentiles alongside histogram-style visualisations. Performance was assessed against predefined service targets and benchmarked both against peers using the same interface type and against the wider cohort of demographic integrations.Results Distribution-based reporting exposed important variation that would not have been identified through timeout alerting alone. Median latency was often insufficient to distinguish acceptable from poor performance: some integrations showed acceptable median performance but poor tail latency and high error rates, while others achieved acceptable higher-percentile performance despite slower median responses. Several interfaces demonstrated consistently strong performance, confirming that low-latency, reliable demographic integrations are achievable; five trusts recorded p95 latency below 100ms with zero errors during the study week.Conclusions Combining percentile metrics, error rates, and visual distribution comparisons provides a more informative view of integration health than timeout-based review alone. Benchmarking against both interface-specific peers and the wider cohort support clearer communication, more targeted investigation, and is a useful addition to performance reviews for both technical and non-technical colleagues.",
