  "abstract": "A male patient in his mid 30s was incidentally noted to have an anomalous retinal artery coursing directly through the macular region of the right eye (white arrow; figure 1a and b), while the left eye exhibited a normal fundus appearance (figure 1c and d). Despite this unusual vascular anomaly, the patient maintained excellent visual acuity in the right eye, documented at 6/6, with no subjective visual complaints. The patient did not report any symptoms suggestive of metamorphopsia in the right eye. Nonetheless, an Amsler grid assessment was performed. The patient was able to appreciate all lines as straight without any distortion, indicating the absence of metamorphopsia on objective testing.",
