  "abstract": "This case highlights the unique and multidimensional challenges encountered in the anaesthetic management of a patient with severe kyphotic deformity undergoing orthopaedic surgery. The report illustrates the rare use of awake sitting fibreoptic tracheal intubation after failed spinal anaesthesia, with emphasis on airway innovation, regional analgesic adjuncts and strategic decision-making under anatomical constraints. We believe this case contributes significantly to the clinical knowledge base, particularly in managing complex spine-related deformities in anaesthesia practice.",
