  "abstract": "An early adolescent girl child, with uneventful perinatal history, presented with progressive difficulty in walking and stiffness in the lower limbs during ambulation, noted since early infancy. Her symptoms have worsened over the past 2 years. Developmentally, she attained age-appropriate milestones with a mild motor delay, as she began walking at around 2 years of age; social and language milestones were normal. There was no history of seizures, regression of milestones, diurnal variation or acute exacerbations with illness. According to the caregivers, the child’s gait difficulty and limb stiffness gradually increased with exertion or prolonged walking.",
