"abstract": "A male in his 80s presented with complaints of diminution of vision in his right eye (RE), associated with pain and photophobia for the past 2 months. He was diagnosed as endogenous endophthalmitis in the RE by a local ophthalmologist and was advised intravitreal antibiotics. He sought a second opinion at our institute before the procedure. He denied any recent ocular trauma, surgery or similar episodes in the RE. There was no history of recent hospitalisation or any intravenous medications.",
