  "abstract": "A woman in her 30s with latent autoimmune diabetes in adults presented to the hospital with severe diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) precipitated by mycotic infection at a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor insertion site. Diabetes was characterised by chronic hyperglycaemia—glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) 13.3%—and recurrent DKA due to infective illnesses, including breast abscesses and respiratory tract infections, despite basal-bolus insulin therapy.",
