  "abstract": "A term neonate with no significant perinatal events presented to us with sudden onset seizures and altered sensorium in the second week of life. The seizures were initially managed with antiepileptic drugs and antibiotics for suspected sepsis. The initial investigations did not reveal meningitis. However, the blood culture grew Candida tropicalis. A neurosonogram was suggestive of echogenic foci in bilateral parasagittal regions. Further neuroimaging was suggestive of thrombosis of multiple major cortical veins and dural sinuses. Keeping the possibility of Cerebral Sinovenous Thrombosis (CSVT), the neonate received low molecular weight heparin. The neonate improved dramatically, and neuroimaging at 3 months follow-up did not show any thrombosis. This case underscores the importance of keeping a high index of suspicion for early neuroimaging for CSVT in cases of neonatal fungal sepsis with a neurological focus.",
