  "abstract": "Borland highlights the health harm caused by wood burning in urban stoves.1 Such burning also contributes to climate change. Emissions related to logging, sawmill activity, transport, and (often) kiln drying can be substantial.2 Further, emitted black carbon acts as a very powerful short lived contributor to global heating,3 and contributes to far distant ice melt (and thus accelerated heating).4 The threat of climate change is now immediate and grave.5 We support moves for homes to be powered by 100% renewable electricity. This obviates the harm to our health caused by particulate and gaseous pollution from combustion of gas in boilers or stoves.67",
