It is not uncommon for a resident doctor to wait 20 minutes for a ward computer to boot up, only to spend the next 40 minutes copying and pasting information between different windows. When the time spent on this is multiplied by the thousands of doctors across the NHS, the scale of wasted clinical time becomes impossible to ignore.",
