  "abstract": "Despite their physical resilience and peak performances, athletes are at a significant risk of mental health conditions. Symptoms of anxiety and depression can affect 30%–40% of elite athletes,1–3 while up to 8% of all athletes are affected by the neurodevelopmental condition attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).4 Established interventions to manage and alleviate symptoms of mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions include psychological therapies, lifestyle and social interventions and pharmacological treatments.",
