  "abstract": "The control–chaos continuum (CCC) served as an initial framework to guide practitioners in the planning of on-pitch rehabilitation in elite soccer.1 Nonetheless, conceptual models must continually adapt and evolve in response to emerging evidence and new insights.2 Accordingly, informed by novel implementation experiences and knowledge specific to injury neurophysiology, soccer performance and coaching science, we have updated the original CCC.3",
