  "abstract": "We encounter, occasionally, parents who are incapable of making medical decisions on behalf of their incompetent or incapacitated children. When the incapable parent is themselves a child; measures will generally already have been taken for them to share parental responsibility with an adult. Thus, while we usually manage to work around these dilemmas, two judgments have provided clear guidance as to the approach we should take with incapable adult parents.",
